23 years as a L.A. firefighter I witnessing death on a daily basis -it made me realize how easily people are forgotten.

In 2017, a friend died in the line-of-duty, and to ensure he would not be forgotten we made a photo tribute slideshow and made an engraved QR code on his memorial so visitors could see it. To do this, we setup a dropbox, copy and paste links, DIY slideshow editing and graphic design, create pdfs, navigate printshop websites at the worst time when all we wanted was to make an engraved QR code of his memories. It proved to be too difficult for a bunch of blue collar firefighters, and that's why I founded DASH, to remove that difficulty in rescuing our loved ones from being forgotten.
