From humble beginnings I learned grit, dependabilty, and hard work by watching my parents sacrifice to give me a better life. That, and faith, got me out of L.A. housing projects to fullfilling my dream as a Los Angeles City Firefighter where for 23+ years we saved countless people, but also witnessed countless loss. I had the profound realization that people are too easily forgotten. 

June 3, 2017 my friend lost his life in the line-of-duty. I gathered photos & music from his widow, family, and friends to make a life tribute slideshow. I made his DASH (life storytelling QR code) and attached it to his memorial at the firehouse so anyone could see his slideshow tribute. Existing solutions didn't make that process easy and that's why I founded DASH. 

Dying is a part of life, but being forgotten doesn't have to be.
